Keep Your Dog Away From
Chocolate During Halloween! |
 |
|
We all want our dogs to enjoy the holiday
season just as much as us but there are some things that we eat
that our beloved pets can't have as treats. One of those things is
chocolate - it's toxic to dogs (and cats.. but this is a dog site
;-) ). Sure, it’s hard to resist those sweet little eyes
begging for a treat when you’re eating a chocolate bar or some
chocolate ice cream, but the bottom line is that dogs must not eat
chocolate. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs and can kill them.

Canine Breeding |
 |
|
In today's world there are many people
who think to purchase a pet for somebody as a gift. Sure it
sounds like a great idea but what they don't think about is
whether or not the person they're giving it to is responsible
enough to keep this animal for its lifetime. As many say,
the dog loses it's "novelty" as a puppy once it starts getting
larger or starts chewing up shoes... just like most relationships,
you just need a little patience, the puppy needs a little training
and obedience and voila - happy home again!
You need to make sure you're
breeding for the right reasons - not primarily for financial
gains, although they, granted, can usually come after the 6 weeks
of the puppies being born. If you are breeding pure-breds,
make sure you have the correct papers for your animal and be sure
to check the temperament and background of the potential breeding
mate for any ailments. Also make sure both animals and the
potential litter are registered with the appropriate financial
associations.

Massage |
 |
|
Consider your dog part of your family? Like to pamper your dog? Sometimes it's amazing how similar to US our animals really are.
We're not the only ones who enjoy a massage! They love a massage
just like we do - you pat them and they enjoy it don't they?
Pet massages not only feel good to the animal, but it is also
beneficial toward their health because massaging helps stimulate
their circulatory system. |

SYMPTOMS THAT YOUR DOG HAS
FLEAS |
 |
|
Generally speaking, if
you see your dog having an unusual scratching session, your first
thought should be fleas... Dogs don't scratch their head when they're
thinking like humans do! :) Particularly, if you witness your canine itching and
scratching on 's head, neck and ears, you should check for
fleas. Flea dirt - unlike usual ground dirt because it's generally
black and in slightly larger granules - is a usual sign of fleas. Most
of the time you would find flea dirt on the rear of your dog's back,
near the base of the tail and also the neck. Also hair loss around the
head and neck area, usually due to both the fleas inhabiting this
area, and your dog scratching it frequently, can also be a symptom. |
